Global Reporting Initiative
The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is an independent, network-based organisation that has developed the world’s most widely used sustainability reporting framework. Its voluntary framework sets out principles and indicators for measuring and reporting economic, environmental and social performance. Scania’s aim is to provide our stakeholders with regular and relevant information about our sustainability efforts. We are committed to transparent sustainability reporting.
Scanias GRI index will guide you to the places in our Annual and Sustainability report or on the website where you can find the relevant information for each GRI indicator. However links to the web in the older versions might have been updated or changed.

Scania, Ihro and Audi launch joint gas pilot project
07 Apr 2016 With the aim of reducing carbon emissions, internal transport operations with a gas-powered Scania tractor unit are now in service at the Audi manufacturing plant in Neckarsulm. To maximise load capacity, and thereby further reduce CO2 emissions, a higher “megatrailer” is being used. In order to comply with the German regulations of four metres maximum height, a Scania tractor unit with an extra low chassis is needed. -
Biofuels needed to reach climate target

Scania tests fast wireless charging in urban traffic
07 Dec 2016 The Nordic region’s first bus service featuring wireless (inductive) bus stop charging is now starting. A newly developed electric hybrid bus from Scania will be operated in regular urban traffic in Södertälje, Sweden, as part of the efforts to identify new more sustainable solutions for public transport in urban environments. -
Nighttime deliveries much more efficient
